God’s Ultimate Sacrifice

I look upon the earth with tears

And hate to look away

The world I made is full of fears

Producing more each day

My mind is full of their wishes

I really want this, God!

All they really want is riches

Not Me, not I, just “god

Yet there are those whom I bestow

Many earthly dressings

From them I shall reap what they sow

Such are my true blessings

My Son’s birthday is almost here

Do they know the meaning?

Behind the gifts they hold so dear

Yet for Him no feeling

They’re all wrapped up under a tree

Idol of their worship

They come to church and think they’re free

As part of the kinship

Very soon to earth I’ll return

And they will quake with fear

Soon receive the fate they will earn

And lose those riches dear

I find dishonesty so soon

In hearts of some subjects

Their artificial praise is doom

My jealous heart rejects

Mixing other gods they think same

I almost feel their fire

Their faith they zealously proclaim

This is their desire?

I’ve always sacrificed for you

My only Son I gave

Won’t you sacrifice for me too?

For me you’ll be no slave ~~Liza~~
